Yang Ming keeps fleet size up

Keelung-headquartered carrier Yang Ming decided to extend its charter on five Seaspan neo-panamax containerships. They belong to the Hong Kong-based company Seaspan. The Taiwanese shipping group has announced an option on Seaspan's five 14,000 teu units.
Currently, Yang Ming is ranked as the ninth largest liner operator, according to Alphaliner. Like most shipping companies, the carrier saw a strong H1/2022, with a net profit of more than USD 4 billion. (sh)
