Terminal in Perm increasing capacity

TransContainer has finished the first phase of the reconstruction of its terminal at Blochnaya station in Perm, western Russia. The capacity has been increased by 22% from 41,000 to 50,000 teu a year.
Reconstruction started in 2023. Since then, the group has renovated the pavements of two container yards, for example. Now the affiliate of Russia’s Delo-Group is preparing for a second phase of the project, in which a new utility building and an access road will be built.
After the second phase of modernisation in 2025, the terminal’s capacity will be increased by a factor of 2.2 to 110,000 teu a year. Moreover, the terminal will also be able to store reefers boxes that require special temperature control. (ben)
