Tanker acquisition via remote

The Rolls I changed hands in a different way.

It is the first acquisition solely done by remote due to the recent boom in the tanker market. The "Cape Beira" was acquired by the Sea World Management of Montecarlo with online procedures determined by anti-pandemic restrictions.

The 40,000 t tanker changed hands through a handshake via the zoom system between the seller in Singapore, the buyer in the Principality of Monaco and their respective banks in Switzerland and Hamburg.

The vessel, which was renamed "Rolls I", will now sail under the flag of Gibraltar in the regions of the Mediterranean and Northern Europe. (mw)
