Start of a flourishing season in Ecuador

Valentine's Day is only three weeks away! The dedicated cargo season began at Quito airport (UIO) and will last until 11 February. Since 92% of the cargo transported from UIO are flowers (2023: 20,000 t), local logistics processes have been optimised.
As part of a strategic investment, companies specialising in cargo palletising, which include Novacargo, Novasan, Pertraly and Servipallet, have jointly expanded the maneuvering space in the cargo apron and the area assigned to the palletisers.
The addition of 2,880 sqm will improve and simplify cargo reception and processing. With this infrastructure and the operation of over 15 cargo airlines, offering regular and charter flights, the local community can expect a growth in exported tonnage. (ah)
