Shenzen aims at new mark

The Chinese Port of Shenzhen achieved a throughput of 23.8 million teu from January to October 2021, 10.7% more than in the same period in 2020.
While foreign trade was up 11.3% to almost 22 million teu, empty containers grew significantly by 18% to 7.35 million teu.
Over the period, the port handled vessels of 62 international container liner routes. The results were achieved despite the closing of ports in October due to the tropical cyclone Kompasu. (sh)
