Schmitt leads French business organisation
Jean-Thomas Schmitt (centre), CEO of the Heppner Group, has been unanimously elected president of Union TLF, succeeding Eric Hémar.
Over the next three years, he aims to strengthen the sector’s competitiveness, enhance its appeal and expand member services. His key priorities include strong institutional representation, digital and environmental transformation and tailored support for businesses.
He is backed by vice-presidents Yannick Buisson (right) and Joël Glusman (second from the right), as well as treasurer Carole Dupessey (on the left). Together with secretary-general Olivier Poncelet (second from the left), Schmitt will seek to position logistics as a strategic economic asset at both national and European levels.
Union TLF will remain a key voice for the industry, driving innovation, promoting best practices and providing companies with practical solutions. Discover more news from French transport and logistics in today’s ITJ 3 / 2025, which will be distributed at SITL in Paris from 1-3 April. (ah)
