The Cessna Skycourier twin utility turboprop has been awarded type certification by the National Civil Aviation Authority of Brazil (Anac).

The US aircraft manufacturer Textron Aviation said that it is looking forward to serving the dynamic and expansive Brazilian market and to catering to its diverse aviation needs.

Lannie O’Bannion, SVP, global sales and flight operations: "The Cessna Skycourier's high payload capacity, short take-off and landing capability, and cost-efficiency make it a great choice for operators in Brazil."

The aircraft features a large cargo door and a flat floor cabin, and the freighter variant can hold up to three LD3 shipping containers with a payload capability of 2.7 t. (ah)
