Rail operations provider selected for industrial park

Watco has been selected as the new rail operator of the Great Plains Industrial Park (GPIP) in Parsons, Kansas (USA). The transport company will begin its services on 1 January 2023.
GPIP is served by Union Pacific Railroad and has more than 27.5 sqkm of property and 42 km of track. It is the first carbon-neutral industrial, transportation, and economic development park in USA.
Watco will provide switching, transload, warehouse, material handling, truck and logistics services including an approved foreign trade zone (FTZ) for rail and non-rail-served customers within the park. (ben)
