New MSC loop links Asia with Liverpool

MSC has launched its new Britannia service, a standalone loop connecting Asia to North Europe, designed to enhance port connections from China and Vietnam to Liverpool.
The new route includes direct access to the port of Vung Tau and will connect to Liverpool, as well as hubs in Rotterdam, Antwerp, and Hamburg, thereby extending MSC’s coverage from China and Vietnam to the UK and the Northwest Continent.
The first sailing is scheduled for 1 July with the vessel “MSC Denisse X”. The full rotation will include Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantian, Vung Tau, Liverpool, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Hamburg, London Gateway, Singapore, and back to Shanghai. This service aims to complement MSC’s existing services to London and Felixstowe. (pb)
