New EV joins Pitt Ohio fleet
Pitt Ohio has expanded its fleet in Pittsburgh by adding a 'Mack MD electric box truck'. The vehicle with a length of around 8 m offers a peak output of 260 hp, a payload of over 4 t and a range of up to 370 km.
The investment aims to support Pitt Ohio’s strategy of cutting emissions and enhance regional delivery efficiency. "This addition reflects our dedication to sustainable logistics," said Taki Darakos, VP of vehicle maintenance.
Designed for urban routes, the electric truck offers quiet operation and zero tailpipe emissions. Mack Trucks welcomed the partnership. Jonathan Randall, president of Mack Trucks North America, highlighted the vehicle’s ability to match diesel performance in a battery-electric format. (js)
