New AI unit and CFO at Geodis
Geodis has reshaped its management board with two senior appointments and the creation of a department dedicated to artificial intelligence. David-Olivier Tarac becomes executive vice-president AI, tasked with embedding artificial intelligence across the group’s lines of business to drive performance, simplify processes and boost innovation. He joined Geodis in 2022 as deputy CFO and became CFO in 2023.
Carole Besnard (photo), deputy CFO since 2018, succeeds him as group CFO. With more than 25 years in finance at Keolis, SNCF and Geodis, she will pursue the ongoing transformation of the finance function, reinforcing performance management and continuous improvement. "Finance is at the heart of Geodis’s transformation, and my role will be to ensure that our growth is built on solid and transparent foundations," she said.
Geodis generated EUR 11.3 billion in revenue in 2024 and operates in nearly 170 countries with 50,000 employees. (ah)
