Kick-off for EUR 1.2 billion rail programme

The research and development programme “Europe's rail joint undertaking” was officially launched at the European Railway Summit in Paris, France, this week.
The aim of Europe’s largest programme for rail transport, valued at EUR 1.2 billion, is to create an integrated, high-performance European railway network. CER and ÖBB expect important impulses for the European railway system.
Unife stressed that a stronger focus on research and development in rail transport is crucial for decarbonisation. (ben)
