Jaxport's employee receives patriot award

The US military, more specifically, the office of the secretary of defence, recently honoured a Jaxport asset manager for his commitment. Brandon Blanton received the laurels for his outstanding support of fellow employee seaman Matthew Reed during Reed’s service in the Navy Reserves.
Blanton received the award from Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a department of Defence programme based at the Pentagon that promotes cooperation and understanding between service members and their civilian employers. (cd)
