First train arrives at Stockholm Norvik Port

The first Green Cargo train arrived at Stockholm Norvik Port on Tuesday (9.6.2020) on the newly built industrial branch line.
Ports of Stockholm built the just over 4 km industrial branch line to couple Stockholm Norvik Port to the Swedish railway network; an investment of SEK 800 million (EUR 76 millon).
Besides the 440 m long branch section, the industrial line includes an additional 360 m of track on the port esplanade, a railway yard with three 750 m long tracks as well as a 100 m long siding. Ports of Stockholm owns, and is responsible for, the operation of the branch line. (ben)
