Drydocks World to Overhaul Key West African FPSO
Drydocks World has been awarded the contract to refurbish and extend the life of FPSO Baobab Ivoirien by 15 years. The eight-month project, starting this month, includes 1,000 t of steel renewal, 250,000 m² of tank coating and 11,500 m of new piping. Once completed, the MODEC-operated unit will resume operations off Côte d'Ivoire with a capacity of 70,000 bpd of oil and 75 million cubic feet of gas.
Drydocks World has delivered over 30 FPSO upgrade projects and continues to strengthen its position as a key offshore engineering partner. The contract was signed in Dubai by Drydocks World CEO Capt. Rado Antolovic and Gary Kennedy, President of MODEC Management Services. (ah)
