The specialists from RZD Logistics (RZDL) handled a recent car transport on a special route by ship, rail and truck. A batch of 28 wagons was loaded into 40 ft containers and shipped by sea from Shanghai (China) to Vladivostok (Russia), where the containers were transferred to the railways and transported across Russia to Yekaterinburg as part of a container train.

From there, the Chinese cars were carried by truck to Chelyabinsk in the Urals. RZDL not only handled the transport itself, but also provided other services, such as handling and customs clearance. According to RZDL’s estimates, car transports from China have increased by 300% in 2023 compared to last year. (ben)
