Changi Airports International (CAI), a global airport consultant, manager, and investor, and Sociedade Gestora de Aeroportos (SGA), an airport management company under Angola’s ministry of transport, signed a two-year technical partnership agreement on 18 February 2024.

The partnership will see both sides working on a long-term strategy to maximise the traffic potential and profitability of 16 regional airports managed by SGA. CAI will lend its traffic development expertise to SGA to help grow air traffic at the Angolan airports.

Plans include targeted airline engagement programmes to increase domestic and regional air connectivity, as well as marketing campaigns to attract passenger traffic. At the same time, CAI will improve the airports’ non-aeronautical offerings and operational performance. (cj)
