Armed Forces transporter increases traffic

At Kassel Airport (KSF) in northern Hesse, which usually sees only modest volumes of passenger traffic and does not have any major ambitions in the air freight business, a German Armed Forces A400M is likely to generate unusual activity next Saturday, 29 January 2022, when adults and children from the age of five can get vaccinated against Covid-19 exclusively in the aircraft.

The initiators - Kassel Airport, the Johanniter Regionalverband Kurhessen, the air transport squadron 62 from Wunstorf, members of the regional liaison commands of the German Armed Forces, medical staff officers of the civil-military cooperation, the Kassel Post Pharmacy and the Städtische Werke - want to administer more than 500 vaccinations on that day. Outside of the vaccination, the aircraft can only be viewed from the airport fence. (ah)
