The new facility will initially operate as a commercial base, allowing Ambrogio Intermodal to expand its intermodal network and further develop its freight forwarding services.

As a strategic hub in the province of Modena, Northern Italy, it will also strengthen the company’s connections with its international partners, including road, maritime and intermodal carriers, the transport specialist said.

The new hub will work with the company's headquarters in Gallarate (Varese, Italy) to integrate and optimise all operations. With 250 employees, Ambrogio Intermodal runs eight sites in Europe and generates an annual turnover of EUR 96 million. (ben)
