The AD Ports Group and Egypt’s SC Zone have signed a 50-year agreement to develop the Kezad East Port Said Industrial and Logistics Zone.

The 20 km² site near the Suez Canal will serve as a regional trade hub connecting Asia, Europe and Africa. Phase 1 will cover 2.8 km², with construction set to start by year-end and USD 120 million allocated for development. The project is designed to attract investment, boost industrial activity and support Egypt’s export ambitions.

It is linked directly to the deepwater East Port Said hub and is part of SC Zone’s strategy to develop integrated ports and industrial zones. The AD Ports Group has been active in Egypt since 2022, acquiring logistics firms and securing long-term terminal concessions.

The new zone further expands its regional logistics footprint whilst supporting Egypt’s role as a key player in global supply chains. The development is part of AD Ports Group’s expanding presence in Egypt, where it has secured multiple terminal concessions since 2022 and aims to highlight deepening UAE–Egypt trade ties. (ah)
