The European Innovation Council (EIC) has awarded a EUR 2.5 million grant to Nevomo in Poland. The investment will be used to bring Nevomo's technology to a higher technology readiness level.
Nevomo is a European deep-tech company that uses Hyperloop technology to improve the efficiency of existing railway lines. By upgrading existing railway infrastructure, the company aims to enable rail travel at speeds of up to 550 km/h.
To achieve this, Nevomo will deploy a maglev system that uses existing track as a base. The EIC supports start-ups and SMEs in developing groundbreaking innovations. (ben)
