Stadler is equipping the Montreux–Rochers-de-Naye railway with its CBTC signalling system, 'Nova Pro', marking another step toward safer and more automated rail operations as the company reported. The project complements the acquisition of new trains announced earlier this year and aims to reinforce the Transports Montreux-Vevey-Riviera (MVR) network’s ongoing modernisation strategy.
Awarded following a public tender, Stadler’s contract includes upgrading the 11 km single-track line, eight stations and a new depot. The 'Nova Pro' system integrates automatic train protection, supervision and operation. (js)
