New unit for offshore wind services

As part of its portfolio in the offshore renewables sector, Harren & Partner has added the versatile jack-up vessel ‘Wind Lift I’ to its fleet and launched SAL Renewables as a specialised provider for offshore wind services and installation.

Born as a sister company to the heavylift shipping line SAL Heavy Lift, this new firm focuses on the offshore maintenance and installation of wind turbines and their components.

The ‘Wind Lift I’ is a dynamic-positioning jack-up crane vessel with a 500 t capacity built in 2010, suited for offshore wind maintenance projects as well as the installation of wind turbine parts. (cd)
