New hub for Fiege in Vienna

Fiege has opened a logistics centre in Vienna, doubling its footprint in the Austrian capital according to a press release. Built on the former Unilever production site in the 7th Haidequerstrasse, the facility sits adjacent to Fiege’s existing branch and aims to strengthen the company’s presence in Austria. The opening was marked on 18 September with around 100 invited guests.
Thomas Steinhart, head of Vienna’s 11th district, said the investment underlines Fiege’s commitment to Simmering. "Now to celebrate the opening is a proud moment both for Fiege and for the district," he said. Ewa Samel, member of the Vienna state parliament and city council, added: "I am delighted about the clear commitment of the family-owned company Fiege to Vienna as a business location." (js)
