Kalmar launches electric cargo handlers

Kalmar, a subsidiary of Cargotec, has begun the production of its electric reachstacker and Essential forklift truck range at its Shanghai facility.
The electric reachstacker, capable of lifting up to 45 t, enhances eco-efficiency in cargo-handling operations without compromising productivity or safety. It offers various modular battery and charging options, suitable for container handling and heavy industrial lifting.
The Essential forklift truck has a lifting capacity ranging from 10 to 18 t, ideal for containers, steel, and wood handling. The first units from this Shanghai production line are set to be delivered regionally, following its official launch on 6 December 2023. (pb)
