Ixaro launches yard navigation

Ixaro has launched a new mobile navigation solution to guide truck drivers across large and complex industrial sites.
Upon arrival, drivers receive a rugged industrial smartphone with a pre-installed navigation app supporting 15 languages. Using geolocation data, the app provides guidance. The device also acts as a pager, enabling confirmation messages.
If a driver deviates from the route, the system alerts site staff of the truck’s coordinates. The solution is designed for facilities with WLAN-connection. In case of a missing connection the smartphones can also be operated with a SIM-card.
The solution integrates into Ixaro’s broader yard management systems. All components are developed and maintained in Germany. (js)
