From St. Helena to Europe

Macs Maritime Carrier Shipping is launching a new feeder service following a five-year contract with St. Helena’s government. It will include monthly trips from Cape Town to St. Helena, with additional stops at Lüderitz and, on demand, Mossel Bay.
Cape Town and Walvis Bay will serve as transhipment hubs for the feeder service and existing liner services to/from Europe and the US Gulf. The new offering aims to provide a reliable link for the Namibian fishing industry to European markets and a scheduled connection for the energy industry to Lüderitz and Mossel Bay.
The 'MV Karoline', equipped with two 35 t cranes and reefer plugs, will be used for this service, which starts immediately. (pb)
