On 1 January 2024 Kerstin Kamphaus will assume the new role of chief people and culture officer (CPCO) at VTG, a European wagon hire company. People and culture are of central importance to VTG’s growth strategy. Creating this new function and bundling all strategic and operational human resources matters across Europe will thus provide the necessary focus for this post.

Kamphaus has more than 20 years’ experience in HR management and joins VTG from the Maersk Group, where she initially served as CPCO of the shipping line Hamburg Süd before taking charge of the group’s strategic recruitment affairs. Before moving to Maersk she filled general HR leadership positions at the Vattenfall Group (2003–2020). (cj)
