Eurogate’s Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven (CTW) has surpassed the one million mark for the first time in a single year. On 18 September, the millionth container was handled at the German deepwater port. The box, shipped by Hapag-Lloyd from China, contained machinery parts for the agricultural sector and was consigned by Gebrüder Weiss according to a press release by the company.

"We are proud to have crossed the million mark with partners like Hapag-Lloyd, CTW can demonstrate its full capabilities," said Holger Bomm, managing director of CTW. "Fast handling and Far East links make Wilhelmshaven vital for us and our customers," added Christian Frölich, branch manager of Gebrüder Weiss in Bremen. (js)
