Uruguayan shipowner TFF has contracted Concordia Damen to build a CDS 2410 river pusher for transporting cellulose pulp. The pusher, with 2,500 HP, will operate between Fray Bentos and Nueva Palmira. Concordia Damen built the vessel based on local river characteristics for optimal efficiency with a low draft push boat design. Powered by two C32 CAT engines, it measures 24 x 10 m.

TFF's CEO, Fernando Perera Bruno, welcomed the collaboration and the vessel's innovative design. Bert Duijzer, technical manager at Concordia Damen, emphasised the company's commitment to meeting and exceeding customer expectations. The vessel is expected to be delivered in October 2024 after sea acceptance trials in the Netherlands. (pb)
