Carrying non-craneable semi-trailers to Romania

ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG) has launched a pilot project with non-craneable semi-trailers on the Genk Belgium - Curtici (Romania) route, operating five round trips per week instead of the previous three.

The carrier has also added two new connections to its network. With immediate effect, a train will run five times a week between Curtici and Tekirdag (Turkey) and once a week between Munich (Germany) and Curtici. It is thus expanding its services to Turkey, an important freight transport hub for shipments between Europe and Asia, RCG said. (ben)
