An eco-friendlier service

Global shipping company Ocean Network Express (ONE) has introduced One Leaf+, a new service designed to help customers reduce their carbon footprint and improve transparency in their shipping operations. The service provides clients with alternative fuel options and third-party verified certifications detailing CO2e savings, supporting broader industry efforts toward decarbonisation.

One Leaf+, which stands for low emission-able freight, is part of the carrier’s commitment to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2050. The initiative includes the use of used cooking oil methyl ester (UCOME) as a biofuel, which significantly reduces emissions compared to traditional fuels.

The service underscores ONE's ongoing partnerships and efforts to meet stringent environmental standards and provides annual certification to customers documenting their GHG savings. (pb)
