An autonomous truck saves 6,000 litres of diesel

The autonomous trucks of the Chinese technology specialist Inceptio have now covered more than 200 million km in commercial operations.
China’s logistics companies are deploying over 2,000 Inceptio-powered trucks in their fleets that run daily along major freight routes throughout the country. According to a joint study by Inceptio and the Chinese insurance company CPIC, the autonomous driving trucks performed 75-99% better than human-operated trucks.
Fleet attendance rates have risen by 10%. Data analysis has shown that a 20-50% reduction in labour costs and a 3-7% improvement in fuel efficiency result in estimated annual savings of 6,000 litres of diesel and 15.8 t in CO₂ emissions per truck. (ben)
