Air Hong Kong completes transition to all-A330F fleet
Air Hong Kong, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cathay Pacific Airways, has entered a new era as it completes its re-fleeting programme and transitions to an all-A330 freighter fleet.
The final A300-600F has now been retired, while the 14-strong Airbus A330F fleet — made up of ten A330-300P2Fs and four A330-200Fs — fully supports operations for DHL Express.
The seven-year transition marks a key milestone for Hong Kong’s first all-cargo airline. Compared to its predecessor the A330F offers 25% more payload and range, lower fuel consumption and noise levels. This supports network growth to destinations such as Bahrain and Sydney and reflects the Cathay group’s wider sustainability ambitions.
Air Hong Kong was one of the launch operators of the A330-300P2F and remains one of its largest users worldwide. (ah)
