Swiss intermodal operator adds capacity
Hupac responds to rising demand for intermodal connections from/to south-east Europe by increasing the frequency between Rotterdam in the Netherlands and Vienna in Austria starting from week 39.
This direct rail service will also offer seamless ongoing connections to Hungary (Budapest BILK), Turkey (Halkali), Romania (Ploiesti) and Bulgaria (Stara Zagora), the Swiss intermodal operator said.
With this latest expansion of capacity, Hupac will operate three weekly roundtrips between Rotterdam and Vienna and three gateway connections to Turkey and Hungary. The new trains will transport containers and swap bodies. (ben)
