San Diego's green lift

SSA Marine and the port of San Diego have introduced the first of six zero-emissions cargo handling equipment at the Tenth Avenue Marine Terminal. The 24,948 kg Wiggins Yard eBull battery electric forklift, named "the Carrillo," can lift up to 25 t and is one of the largest zero-emissions forklifts in the USA.
Supported by California's Core voucher programme, this initiative is part of SSA Marine's commitment to low and zero-emissions technologies in marine terminals.
The port of San Diego has completed the necessary electrical infrastructure to support this transition. The partnership aims to improve public health and quality of life while supporting efficient, modern, and sustainable maritime operations. (pb)
