Pacific International Lines (Pil) has appointed Pil Uruguay as its general agency in Uruguay, effective today, 16 June 2025.

The move strengthens the Latin American presence of the shipping line, based in Singapore, and aims to bring services closer to regional customers. The agency will operate under the business name Dafmal in Montevideo.

Rodrigo Illa has been named general manager of Pil Uruguay and will lead the team in delivering customer-focused shipping solutions. With this new setup, Pil has reinforced its commitment to regional connectivity and service reliability across South America. (ah)
