The Indian Register of Shipping (IRS) has partnered with Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) to develop autonomous and green energy vessels. Signed on 2 March 2024, the MOU aims to enhance innovation and sustainability in the maritime industry.
IRS will provide expertise to ensure GRSE's vessels meet safety and environmental standards. The collaboration also marks a strategic move towards integrating new technologies in shipbuilding.
