Nippon Express selects Brussels as pharma gateway
Nippon Express has opened its new sustainable logistics facility at Brussels airport, doubling its operational space to 10,000 sqm, including 2,000 sqm of temperature-controlled warehousing. The Japanese logistics provider will use the site as a dedicated pharma gateway for Europe. Located in the redeveloped Brucargo Central zone, the building was constructed with sustainable methods and marks a new phase in the airport’s expansion strategy.
"This scale-up enhances our capacity and aligns with our kaizen philosophy of continuous improvement," said Michael Kamm, Managing Director of Nippon Express Belgium. Arnaud Feist, CEO of Brussels Airport, added: "Nippon Express strengthens our position as Europe’s leading pharma hub." The new site will also consolidate three previous facilities, boosting both efficiency and collaboration. (ah)
