Metrans augments capacities in Slovakia

HHLA's rail subsidiary Metrans has added another 5 ha to its hub terminal in Dunajska Streda in Slovakia, creating more storage and transport options for its customers in the region. The expansion increases the size of the terminal area to 326,000 sqm.
The new space will be used primarily for container repairs and storage. It also includes a new container washing facility, the intermodal operator said.
The Dunajska Streda terminal has been a major hub for intermodal transport between Central and Southeastern Europe since 1999. (ben)
