Low deck tractor extends European fleet

Photo: Duvenbeck

Duvenbeck is extending its fleet with emission-free vehicles and using its first battery-powered low-deck truck for long-distance services. The new vehicle in Duvenbeck’s fleet is a so-called “low deck” tractor unit, which can only haul trailers with an interior loading height of 3 m due to its low chassis height.

The German-based forwarder uses the new vehicles for shuttle services for customers in the automobile industry. The low-deck tractor unit is based on the MID CAB model in Volvo’s FM range of vehicles. It was electrified by the Volvo subsidiary, Designwerk Technologies, which has its headquarters in Switzerland. (ben)
