Latam Cargo to serve sixth US destination from February

Latam Cargo will introduce a new cargo route between Santiago de Chile and Chicago IL on 19 February. It will be the company’s sixth destination in the USA.
Thanks to Chicago's strategic connectivity to Asia, with this new route the airline expects to offer a better product to its customers by expediting the service, reducing transit times to less than 35 hours, improving temperature control and decreasing cargo exposure.
In Chicago, Latam Cargo's facilities will include 465 sqm of cold storage, which may be expanded if necessary, to minimize cargo exposure while in transit. The return route will include Miami FL, thus improving service to customers in midwest USA by reducing the transit time to Latin America by up to three days. This will result in shorter connection time and more expeditious shipping. (ah)
