Konecranes to supply e-crane for Flatholmen hub

Tyrholm & Farstad, a Norwegian logistics provider, has placed an order for a Generation 6 Konecranes Gottwald mobile harbour crane to enhance capacity and reduce emissions at its new Flatholmen terminal in Ålesund.

The electric crane, scheduled for delivery in Q2/2024, is designed for flexibility and high performance, focusing on container and general cargo handling in the Møre og Romsdal region. With this investment, the company aims to support local industry demands and align with sustainability goals.

The crane offers a working radius of up to 49 m and a maximum capacity of 125 t, reducing emissions through its electric operation. This move is part of Konecranes' Ecolifting initiative to minimise carbon footprints. (pb)
