High payloads, reduced diesel consumption

Ten lightweight trailers have been added to the fleet of Waldbach Fulfillment Logistik and the associated transport company WTL in Germany.

The lightweight steel semi-trailers with sliding tarpaulins of the Ecochamp 20 LTN type from Berger Ecotrail offer a payload of 27.6 t and an average fuel consumption advantage of 2.5 liters of diesel per 100 m. As two-axle vehicles, they also reduce toll charges. Waldbach plans to purchase more of these “real heavyweights in light clothing” in the future.

Founded in 2012, the owner-managed company has around 56,000 sqm of logistics space at five locations in Germany and handles food and non-food transports. (ben)
