HHPI expands EuroDual fleet

Heavy Haul Power International GmbH (HHPI) is expanding its locomotive fleet with the leasing of a ninth EuroDual from European Loc Pool (ELP). The dual-mode locomotive combines up to 6.2 MW electric and 2.8 MW diesel power, enabling tractive effort and flexibility on both electrified and non-electrified routes. HHPI uses the EuroDuals across key freight corridors in Germany and beyond.

The new addition supports HHPI’s continued shift away from pure diesel to more sustainable operations. Under ELP’s full-service leasing model, HHPI is able to use inclusive maintenance. The long-standing partnership reflects mutual trust and a shared commitment to operational efficiency and innovation. "HHPI was one of our first customers and remains a close partner to this day", said Willem Goosen, CEO of European Loc Pool. (js)
