Combatting frustration on the truck ramp

Allocating parking spaces, meeting deadlines, regulating responsibilities: the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) has developed nine ramp rules – entitled the "Golden Ramp Rules" that are designed to make goods reception and loading more effective. In addition, the rules should make the truck driving profession more attractive.
The DIHK said: “All participants - shippers, consignees, transporters, drivers and the environment - stand to benefit from the rules. Working hours and manpower use are improved because downtimes, which drivers often find frustrating, can be avoided." (ben)
