CMA CGM strengthens Japan loop

The French carrier CMA CGM is reshuffling its services in Japan. The “CMA CGM Argentina”, the company's biggest ship to call regularly in Japan, has been reassigned to a weekly service to the Honmoku D4 terminal in Yokohama.
The vessel is one of two 15,000 teu units that the carrier has deployed on the weekly Asia Central South America 1 (ACSA1) service, rotating through Shekou, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Ningbo, Shanghai, Busan, Manzanillo, Lazaro Cardenas, Buenaventura, Callao, Posorja, Manzanillo, Yokohama, Busan and back to Shekou. Fresh produce is a major part of the cargo. (sh)
