Arkas bunkers biofuel in Istanbul
Arkas Bunker has completed two ‘Bio24F’ bunkering operations in Istanbul, supplying a total of 685 t of sustainable biofuel and advancing its low-emission maritime goals.
On 26 July 500 t of ‘Bio24F’ fuel (with 0.1% sulphur) was delivered to the vessel ‘Carlos Fischer’, owned by Citrosuco, via the barge ‘Ulucak’ under Captain Hilmi Turker.
On 7 August 185 t of ‘Bio24F’ (with 3.5% sulphur) was supplied to the scrubber-equipped ship ‘T.Adalyn’, operated by Ditas, a Koc Holding subsidiary, using the barge ‘Alsancak 2’, under captain Recep Kasarci.
As the first Turkish firm with ISCC EU certification for marine fuels, Arkas Bunker continues to deliver eco-friendly fuels, offering blends with up to B30 biocomponent content, fully compliant with global sulphur limits. (gy)
