Amazon is planning to close three warehouses in western Scotland, UK. On the other hand, two new fulfilment centres are said to be in the pipeline.
A spokesman of the retail giant underlined that all employees will be given the chance to work at other Amazon locations. With the new sites - which could be in Peddimore in the West Midlands and Stockton-on-Tees in the North East - 2,500 jobs could be created over the next three years. (sh)
