A new option for transpacific trade

Ocean Network Express (ONE) is launching the Asia Pacific 1 (AP1) service to enhance its transpacific network. AP1 will connect Asia and the US West Coast, with direct routes from Taipei and Shekou to Los Angeles and Oakland. The initiative aims to cater to the growing import volumes from Asia to the USA and strengthen ONE's presence in the transpacific market.

The service will offer fast transit times, with 19 days to Haiphong and 22 days to Cai Mep on the return leg. The port rotation will be as follows: Haiphong – Cai Mep – Shekou – Xiamen – Taipei – Ningbo – Shanghai – Los Angeles – Oakland – Shekou – Haiphong. The first vessel is expected to set sail in late spring this year, subject to regulatory clearance. (pb)
